Punch Pizza was born from a simple dream: to bring the authentic, soul-warming flavors of Neapolitan wood-fired pizza to the heart of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Our founders, lifelong food enthusiasts, traveled to Naples, studied under master pizzaiolos, and returned home with a burning passion — and a 900°F wood-fired oven.

What started as a neighborhood spot with just a handful of tables has grown into a beloved community gathering place. We've stayed true to our roots — hand-stretched dough made fresh daily, San Marzano tomatoes, imported buffalo mozzarella, and the same blazing oak-wood fire that gave us our name.

Over the years, Punch Pizza has earned a reputation not just for extraordinary food, but for the warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps families and friends coming back week after week. We don't just make pizza — we make moments.

  1. 2009

    The First Flame

    Marco and Sophia open Punch Pizza with a single wood-fired oven, 8 tables, and a hand-lettered menu. Opening day sells out within two hours.

  2. 2011

    First Award

    Punch Pizza receives "Best New Restaurant" from Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine, drawing guests from across the Twin Cities metro area.

  3. 2013

    Expansion & Renovation

    We double our dining room, add a second oven, and launch our catering service to bring Punch Pizza to weddings, corporate events, and block parties.

  4. 2016

    Going Green

    We launch our sustainability initiative — sourcing from Minnesota farms, composting 100% of kitchen waste, and eliminating single-use plastics from operations.

  5. 2019

    Decade of Excellence

    Celebrating 10 years of pizza perfection. We're recognized as a St. Louis Park "Community Champion" and host our first annual Pizza & Community Festival.

  6. 2022

    Digital Ordering Launched

    We launch online ordering and our loyalty program, making it easier than ever to enjoy Punch Pizza — whether dine-in, takeout, or catering.
